I'm a late-twenties engineer in the Semiconductor industry, working as a Performance Engineer. I have a background in Applied Physics, with a focus on Nanophysics & Semiconductors.

As you can tell from the blog, I like to play around with technology and it's usage. My daily tech setup is described here. I've done a lot of self-hosting before, either in a Homelab environment or on a VPS.
I'm not a software engineer, but I can do some basic programming/scripting which I've mainly had to learn in my career.

I'm a Luddite by heart, hence I have some opinions on technology that go against the grain in my daily environment. This blog is an outlet for that.
Technology is fundamentally a tool, and every tool's purpose it to improve human well-being and happiness. Nowadays technology is often seen as an end rather than a means, innovation and technological advancement is assumed to improve our lives. I challenge this assumption.

Other than reading my blog, I recommend everyone to go outside and touch grass more.
If not, read some of these excellent people's work:

We are as much our ourselves as we are influenced by those around us. All these people have in some manner had an influence on my writing and interests.
